The program

A self-paced online program on starting and running a short-term rental business, with live group coaching every week. The modules are written for complete beginners, and each one walks you through the work step by step, a bit like following a recipe.

Who it's for

A good fit if you

  • Want to build a hosting business, not just list one spare room
  • Can set aside time every week for the lessons and the business
  • Are willing to check and follow the short-term rental rules where you live
  • Understand that income depends on your own work and market

Probably not a fit if you

  • Are looking for income with no ongoing work
  • Need guaranteed income in the next few months
  • Would be using money you can't afford to lose
  • Live somewhere short-term rentals are prohibited and don't plan to operate elsewhere

What you'll learn

The modules follow the order most students build their business in.

  1. Foundations

How short-term rentals work, how to research local bylaws, licensing, and strata rules, and how to set up the business itself.

  2. Choosing a market and niche

Comparing cities and neighbourhoods, reading demand, and deciding which guests you want to serve.

  3. Co-listing

Finding property owners, pitching your service, setting your fee, and writing a co-listing agreement.

  4. Rental arbitrage

Estimating whether a lease will pay, asking landlords for permission, and budgeting for furnishing.

  5. Building and pricing the listing

Photos, copy, amenities, and a pricing plan by season and day of the week.

  6. Guest experience and operations

Check-in, cleaning, messaging, handling problems, and earning good reviews.

  7. Software and automation

Channel managers, dynamic pricing tools, and message templates that save time.

  8. Buying property

Underwriting a purchase with our financial models, financing options, and what lenders ask for.

  9. Growing the business

Hiring cleaners and assistants, writing processes down, and adding properties without losing quality.
